Atelophobia is the fear of imperfection, the fear of not being good enough. At Abby Connect we know how to overcome this fear because we know that what we do for our clients is more than good enough. So, how do we provide the best customer service in the business, you ask?
To provide an exceptional customer experience, we must first work on how our company runs internally.
Often times, companies start with an outward focus of providing a great product or service, without looking at how the inside of their company is running.
There are many companies that look perfect on the outside, but their work culture can truly use a little touch-up. This is why creating a phenomenal culture between each team member is fundamental to a successful business. Quarterly team builders are a great way to invest into your company’s work culture.
“Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of your clients.” – Richard Branson
Our Team Builder
Not only do team building events help us strengthen our bond as a team, but it helps us build relationships with each other outside of the office.
For this quarter, a part of the team went to Countdown Live Escape Games.
Let’s Just Say, Nothing Works On Your Team Building Skills More Than Being Trapped In a Room With a Murderer on The Loose.
In the scenario, Meredith has killed and done horrendous acts to a group of pagaent girls who had previously bullied her when she tried to fit in. The pagaent girls are either dead, or they have to live with a serious imperfection for the rest of their lives.
Team Abby was at risk of being one of Meredith’s next victims.
If we wanted to escape the room in less than 60 minutes, we had to work with each other’s strengths to crack the codes. Despite the flickering lights, a bloody scene, a pitch black revolving door and terryfing screams, we made it out alive with a minute left on the clock.
We found that:
- Some of us work best under pressure
- While others are willing to take risks to get the job done
- Some of us think outside of the box
- While others have a more straightforward thought process
- Some prefer for leaders to emerge
- While others don’t mind contributing
