How does the Abby Connect and Buffer integration work?
The integration connects Abby Connect AI Receptionist with Buffer through Zapier. When a new call record or message is created in Abby, Zapier sends that data to Buffer, allowing you to log or share call details automatically. The data flows only from Abby to Buffer.
What data is sent from Abby Connect to Buffer?
Abby sends selected call or message details through Zapier. Call data includes receptionist name, caller ID, notes, transfer number, called number, and start time. Message data may include case type, location, and other caller details configured in Abby.
Can I update or manage Abby settings from Buffer?
No, the integration is one-way. Buffer cannot update, modify, or create records in Abby Connect. You can only send call or message information from Abby to Buffer. All configuration changes must be made directly in Abby.
What do I need to set up this integration?
You need an active Zapier account and an API key from your Abby Connect account. The key is found under Settings, Integrations, Zapier in my.abby.com. Once connected, you can create Zaps using the New Call Record or New Message triggers.
Are there any limitations with Abby Connect triggers?
Yes. Abby Connect only provides two triggers: New Call Record and New Message. There are no actions available, so data only moves from Abby to Buffer. This integration is designed for activity logging and record creation based on new calls or messages.
