How does the Abby Connect and Facebook Messenger integration work?
The integration connects through Zapier. When a new call record or message is created in Abby Connect, that data can automatically be sent to your Facebook Messenger account. This allows you to receive client updates directly in Messenger for quick follow-up.
Can I reply to Facebook messages from Abby Connect through this integration?
No. This is a one-way integration through Zapier. Abby Connect sends data to other platforms but does not import or update any information. You cannot send or manage Facebook messages within Abby Connect.
What kind of information is sent to Facebook Messenger?
The integration can send details from new call records, such as caller ID, caller name, receptionist name, and call time, as well as custom message fields like case type or caller location. Data only flows from Abby Connect to Messenger.
How do I set up the integration with Facebook Messenger?
You need a Zapier account and your Abby Connect API key from my.abby.com under Settings > Integrations > Zapier. In Zapier, select Abby Connect as the trigger app and Facebook Messenger as the action app, then map your desired fields.
Are there any limitations when using this integration?
Yes. The integration is trigger-only, meaning no actions can update Abby Connect. It does not import external data or modify Abby’s configuration. The available triggers are New Call Record and New Message only.
