How does the Abby Connect and Slack integration work?
The integration sends new call and message details from Abby Connect to Slack via Zapier. This is a one-way connection, so information only flows from Abby to Slack for real-time updates.
Can I send call and message details to different Slack channels?
Yes. Through Zapier, you can set different Slack channels to receive specific call or message data from Abby, allowing you to organize information by team, department, or topic.
What information is sent from Abby to Slack?
For calls, Abby sends notes, transfer number, called number, receptionist name, caller ID, and call start date and time. Message details can include case type, caller location, and other custom fields.
Can I change Abby settings or data from Slack?
No. This integration is trigger-only, which means you cannot create, update, or modify Abby records or settings from Slack. Data is sent from Abby to Slack, but not the other way around.
What is required to set up the Slack integration?
You need a Zapier account and your Abby Connect API key from my.abby.com under Settings, Integrations, and Zapier. Once linked, you can set triggers like New Call Record or New Message to post in Slack.
