The integration uses Zapier to send call and message data from Abby Connect to Twilio. This is a one-way setup. You can log calls, capture notes, or trigger SMS messages in Twilio, but no data flows back into Abby.

What information is shared with Twilio from Abby calls?

Abby sends details like call notes, caller ID, receptionist name, transfer number, called number, and call start time. This data can be used in Twilio to create logs, trigger workflows, or send alerts.

Can I send information from Twilio back into Abby?

No. The integration is one-way only. Data flows from Abby Connect into Twilio through Zapier. You cannot modify, update, or send information back into Abby from Twilio.

What steps are required to set up this integration?

You will need a Zapier account and an API key from your Abby portal at my.abby.com. In Zapier, select Abby Connect as the trigger app, then connect Twilio as the action app, and configure how call or message data flows.

What types of Abby events can trigger a workflow in Twilio?

The integration offers two triggers only: “New Call Record” and “New Message.” Each trigger passes caller details and any message fields you set up. You can then build automated responses or notifications inside Twilio.
