TidyCal Integration: Your Booking Types, Booked By Phone
A one-person business can't answer every call and still do the work. Abby's AI Receptionist takes the call, offers real openings from your live TidyCal availability, books the booking type the caller asked for, and creates or matches their contact. You keep working.

Fiona Achebe calls a two-person design studio at 12:35 PM. She's launching a bakery, has a name and not much else, and found the studio through a friend's packaging. The AI Receptionist asks what she's after, checks the studio's live TidyCal availability for the Brand Consult booking type, and offers Thursday at 9:30 AM or Friday at 2:00 PM. She takes Thursday, gives her email, and it's booked before her lunch order is up.
In TidyCal the booking sits under Brand Consult on Thursday with Fiona's name, and she's now in your TidyCal contacts, created on the spot because she wasn't one before. She hears the time confirmed on the call; your usual reminders apply. The Abby portal has the rest: bakery, launching in spring, wants a logo and packaging, budget still open.
Cancelled Cleanly, Rebooked Cleanly
TidyCal treats a time change as a cancellation and a fresh booking, so that is exactly what the AI Receptionist does. It asks for the email the caller booked with, finds the booking, cancels the old time, and books the new one from your live openings, in one call. A plain cancellation follows your cancellation rules and the slot is free again for the next caller.
Your booking types carry the rules: length, buffer, how much notice, which days. Abby books inside them, the same as a booking from your TidyCal page. Anything the caller adds that TidyCal has no field for rides along in the Abby call summary. And you're not locked to the AI for everything: Abby's live US-based receptionists are on the same plan whenever you want a person picking up, screening, and taking messages, while the AI Receptionist keeps your booking types filled.
